the huerta
Let's get our hands dirty and have some fun while we rebuild the soil and try to emulate nature's biodiversity! Learn more about our international community of green thumbs in a journey of regenerative organic gardening while learning and supporting ourselves, together.
Don't miss your chance to see this unique community garden and mini-forest first-hand, with your own private tour!

freshest veggies
It's not easy to source locally produced organic vegetables in Spain. That's why we took on the challenge of starting an allotment, ourselves.

always growing
It takes a lot of planning to make the soil hum with life. Instead of mono-plantation, we mix crops of different heights, seeking symbiosis
Chard, cauliflower, lettuce, leeks
Broccoli, carrot, zucchini, pumpkin
Artichoke, strawberry, garlic
Beans, peas, sweet potato, corn
Onion, pepper, potato, eggplant
On top of the vegetables we grow, we are also taking care of a very diverse orchard, full with tree guilds.
help out
As rewarding as growing veggies can be, it's also financially draining. We've taken on a number of projects, and could use your help supporting them:• Greenhouse: 300€
• Forest design & consultation: 500€
• Compost toilets: 400€
• Outdoor Kitchen: 2,000€Please reach out below if you're interesting in sponsoring one of these initiatives, or simply contribute what you can via Buy Me a Sapling, below:

visit the garden
If you're curious to see the community garden, the mini-forest, and the circular building greenhouse, we now offer a tour! You can book a time for a private garden tour.

You will discover our circular greenhouse. To build it, we intercepted dozens of windows and furniture on their way to the landfill.Months of collaborative work later, we now have a warm place to start seed earlier in the winter. Plus, it makes for a phenomenal location for a candle-lit dinner.

We've also planted a Miyawaki-inspired pocket forest, using native species that are adapted to the semiarid climate and act as bio-habitat for local species 🐜🪲🕊️
It even has a wildlife pool that collects water for insects and bird.

You can read more about it at El Bosque Javea, and you can book a visit and opt to plant a tree yourself!
If you're visiting during the right season, you may even have the chance to buy a basket, full of local veggies and flowers grown with care by soil regenerators.
The visit will be guided by local sustainability fanatic Ovi Hentea, who will show you the grounds while having a two-sided conversation with your group about how to bring sustainability practices to your community, environment, city and life.If you also nerd out on food sovereignty, soil regeneration, circular practices, food composting, come visit!
